Tariq is an Advocate of High Court and advises on projects, project finance, public-psrivate partnerships, mergers & acquisitions, and the oil & gas sector.

Tariq started his career at Haidermota & Co where he was a partner, and has also practiced in the Middle East at Pinsent Masons, which is a global law firm where he advised on a number of key infrastructure and financing transactions.

He returned to Pakistan and joined Vellani & Vellani as a Partner in 2018. Tariq has advised on some of the most complex ‘first-of-kind’ projects in Pakistan, with a particular focus on renewable projects, LNG import terminals, PPP projects and mergers & acquisitions.
