Mumtaz is qualified as an Advocate of the High Court of Sindh, Pakistan and a Senior Associate. Mumtaz started her career at the Firm in 1997 and has vast experience in Intellectual Property matters. She has been actively involved in protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in relation to trademarks, copyright and domain names.  Mumtaz specialises in acquisitions and recordals, and her experience particularly includes drafting, finalising and filing of the documents/requests relating to the Recordals (assignments, mergers, change of names, addresses and registered users of trademark matters).  She also advises on matters relating to third party conflicts, including processing and prosecuting of trade mark applications, oppositions, rectifications/cancellations, infringements.  She has also participated in contentious proceedings before the Trade Marks Registry, Copyright Board, IP Tribunal Lahore and High Court of Sindh.
