Abdullah S. Khan began his legal career at the Firm in 2021. Using his prior experience as a Finance & Operations Analyst at a technology start-up in Silicon Valley, Abdullah assists partners and advises clients on a diverse range of corporate and commercial matters with a particular focus on private equity and venture capital funds with respect to local technology start-up companies, data protection law, domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and restructurings, anti-trust and corporate compliance matters, and dispute resolution matters.



• Advised Pakistan’s leading healthcare tech company, MedzNMore, on the investment Pre-Series A funding round in the local healthcare start-up tech space 
• Advised a leading E-commerce platform on data protection laws in Pakistan  
• Advised a major international oil & gas company on a cross-border transaction involving the sale and carve-out of part of their business
• Drafting distribution, agency and partnership agreements for, and advising major multinationals on a range of corporate, commercial and compliance matters
• Advised on the restructuring of a major family conglomerate with interests in multiple sectors, including listed and private companies
• Advised on the internal affairs and documents of an educational society, and liaised with the relevant regulatory authorities in pursuit of the same
• Advised a trust on the collation and restructuring of immoveable and moveable assets 
• Advised on the requirements associated with winding-up and/or combining employee gratuity funds
• Advised on the validity and implications of a State Bank of Pakistan issued Circular limiting the buying of foreign exchange
• Advised an international organization on the ownership, generation and determination of carbon credits, public procurement, and public-private partnerships in Pakistan 
• Advised on and drafted a new trust deed and scheme of governance for a major Hospital
• Acted for the Lenders on working capital facilities for the operation of a coal mine financed by way of a Running Musharaka 
• Advised on the scope of provincial government powers with respect to the regulation of trans-provincial societies



• During his time as a student at UC Berkeley, Abdullah worked at the East Bay Community Law Centre, where he assisted clients with a variety of immigration matters including filing for asylum and adjustment of status applications, as well as more urgent matters such as Immigration & Customs Enforcement exit proceedings
