Wajid is an Advocate of the High Court and has been primarily involved in matters related to corporate and commercial law.
Wajid regularly appears before High Courts, District Courts, Banking Courts, National Industrial Relations Commission, Federal Services Tribunal, and other Administrative Tribunals to represent clients in matters related to services, civil, commercial, labor and energy laws.
He is a member of Punjab Bar Council, Islamabad Bar Association, and Rawalpindi Bar Association.

Wajid has authored various research papers and book chapters on environmental law and governance. He has also presented research papers at international conferences, workshops and colloquia including the one organised by Yale Law School at the National University of Singapore in 2018.
Wajid is an adjunct faculty member at International Islamic University, Islamabad. He has taught Labor Law, Administrative Law, Interpretation of Statutes, and Constitutional Law at Bahria University and International Islamic University.
